Description
On this relaxing sightseeing tour we’ll start with a visit to Aphrodite’s Rock, the fabled birthplace of the Greek goddess of beauty.
Our path then takes us to the Kourion archaeological site. Visit the Roman baths and amble through the site’s centrepiece, the Greco-Roman theatre where concerts are still being held to this day.
Moving onwards, we visit Kolossi Castle, a former Crusaders’ stronghold. It was built in the 12th century and is historically known for the production of Richard the Lionheart’s favourite wine, Commandaria.
We’ll journey on to the mountain-wrapped stone village of Omodhos and enjoy a guided walk along the narrow-cobbled streets before a visit to the majestic monastery of the Holy Cross, one of the oldest monasteries on the island. We cap off the day in style with a tour of a local winery where delectable wines will be uncorked for you to sample.
